Lately I have been having very strange dreams, and they are so mixed and fragmented that after waking up I still spend a few minutes trying to understand what was happening. Recently I had a dream that started out completely normally - I was late for work, standing in the kitchen with a cold coffee in my hands and watching the news on TV, where they were talking about a strong storm somewhere near the coast. Then everything changes abruptly: I am already sitting in the office with colleagues, but the office is for some reason inside an old train station, and everyone is behaving as if this is normal. One colleague is arguing about some numbers in the report, another suddenly starts playing the piano right in the middle of the room, and I am standing and wondering why no one is paying attention to the train that is going straight through the corridor.
Then the dream breaks again. I am already riding on a bus with old friends from school, although they all look as if about twenty years have passed. Someone is telling a story about fishing, the bus driver for some reason resembles the news anchor I saw the night before, and outside the window instead of a city is a huge field of sunflowers. And all this time I have had a strange feeling that all these events are somehow connected, although there was no logic to it at all. It's because of dreams like these that I sometimes wake up feeling like I've lived another little life in one night.
