Women's Dreams

I am now 9 months pregnant and due in 2 1/2 weeks. During the past three months I kept having dreams that the baby was born. I have always got to hold the baby and see the face and it felt so real that I woke up and was so disappointed that the ordeal was not over with. In all the dreams I was very happy and content, what could this possibly mean?

waiting

Hi Ramona -

I think you already solved your dream. You are “waiting” for this big event to occur, and so you keep imagining it happening in your dreams. No doubt you wish childbirth was as easy as just dreaming about it, where you could wake up and “the ordeal” would be over with, but Mother Nature, for whatever reason, didn’t make delivery that easy. I think it is a good sign that you get to hold your child and see the face in the dreams, and that you feel happy and content. It indicates you truly are excited about giving birth and that you don’t anticipate any difficulties or complications - either physically or emotionally - with becoming a mother. Congratulations! You are due in 18 days! We are all very happy for you. I’m sure you’ll have a beautiful baby.
