I had a very vivid dream last night. I was in a
butchers shop, and there were a bunch of big brawny butchers standing around holding big chunks of beef. They would reach into the chunk of meat and scoop out a handful of meat with their bare hands. Then they poured milk into the cavity theyd dug out, holding the chunk of meat high up in the air the whole time. The milk would spill out of the cavity and stream down the butchers arm. All around us were big slabs of meat hanging on meathooks. I was totally disgusted in the dream, and thought about becoming a vegetarian.
I am currently 7 1/2 months pregnant with my first child (a boy), and am
living with the father of my child, although we are not married. Im not sure what this dream could possibly signify, other than that I need to continue to eat healthy meals for the duration of my pregnancy. Ive had other vivid dreams during this pregnancy (including quite a few very sexy dreams!), but most of them Ive been able to interpret on my own. This one just has me stumped!

Hi Jennifer -
Dreams are so strange sometimes, arent they?
I am curious if your dream may not be representing your
anticipation of childbirth. The butchers sound like doctors in a delivery room to me - and the milk is certainly associated with babies as well. And the butchers - after they scoop out the meat - hold it high in the air. Not unlike a doctor holding up a newborn by his ankles - to give it that first swat on the bottom - to begin the breath of life.
The fact that you were disgusted in the dream suggests a sense of
trepidation on your behalf regarding delivery - which is of course completely
normal.
What do you think? Possible? If this interpretation holds a ring of
resonance for you - be sure to read the other dreams in Fear of Pregnancy section.

Dear Dream Doctor,
Sounds right to me. Ive definitely been feeling some fear about the
upcoming delivery. By the way, when I told my mother about this dream, thats the
interpretation she came up with too! :-)
