Women's Dreams

For the past 2 nights, I’ve had these dreams where someone is yelling at me and I don’t know what I did wrong. They are very angry at me and I am very upset in the dream for being hollered at.

I was recently divorced and my ex and I are not on speaking terms at all. Do you think this can have something to do with it?

Hi Anonymous -

I think you already have successfully identified the source of your dream. A divorce always is traumatic, with plenty of hurt feelings and misgivings to go around for everyone involved. Your dream is a natural re-playing, in your mind, of some of the feelings you already are experiencing in your waking life. And of course, no one likes being “hollered at.” Keep your eyes open to what your dreams are telling you. They will always be an accurate indicator to you of your inner, emotional state. Right now you still are dealing with the pain of the break-up. As you become reconciled to your divorce, these types of dreams will subside, just as your feelings in waking life become easier to deal with and manage.
