Women's Dreams

In my dream I was in a house and there was a man there. He had been convicted of a murder and was going to prison the day after. We were all at a party for him, but I had a horrible feeling. I knew he would go crazy and try to do something crazy before the night was over. I feared he might kill me. No one else seemed to be scared, including my husband who made brief appearances during the dream, although throughout the dream my husband’s friend (whom I have a slight crush on) was holding my hand to comfort me. We went to a bedroom to hide from the criminal and he just held my hand telling me not to be scared. At that point I woke up. The dream has stayed with me for 2 weeks wondering what it means.

Hi Dana -

Your dream seems to indicate that your husband’s friend pays more attention to you - and protects you - more than you feel your husband does. He is with you during the party and holds your hand to comfort you.

On the other hand, I have to wonder if the crime that is about to be committed, in the dream, isn’t one of passion - between you and your husband’s friend? Are you the criminal? The one who has been having “illegal” thoughts about having an affair with your husband’s friend? If you are attracted to this other person you may be feeling guilty about your attraction.

The dream has stayed with you for two weeks because it is significant - it has struck a “chord” within you.
