I am a 16 year old high school student. I have a recurring dream about me getting up in the morning and showering like I always do. When I go to school I forget to put my clothes on and I don’t realize it until I get there. Then I run around the school hoping that no one will notice.

What does this mean?

Hi Anonymous—

According to the Teen Dream Quiz, being naked at school means

  • a) You have a secret desire to expose yourself.
  • b) You need a new wardrobe.
  • c) You think you have a sexy body and want to show it off.
  • d) You feel like people can see through your personality.
Hmmm.... I doubt you need a new wardrobe. And, because you were trying to hide yourself from other people, I doubt the answer is “A” or “C.”

That only leaves“D!”—

So what do you think? Do you sometimes feel shy in school, and wonder if people can see through your “image?” If so, join the crowd. Everyone worries about what other people think of them every now and then, and in fact, nearly everyone you know has had a naked dream—at one time or another. It’s one of the most common dreams there is!

Don’t sweat this dream. It’s completely normal. As soon as you get more comfortable at school, and start having a regular group of friends you can hang out with, this dream will vanish!

(Then your friends will only get to see you naked at skinny-dipping parties!)
