I am into all the dream interpretation stuff.. Every dream I have I look up in my dream symbols book. I cannot find this one out:

I was at a friend’s house and she had just left. I asked her mom if I could borrow the car to go find her. She hesitated but said yes.

I was driving a green mustang down what I think was an interstate, but you could only go left or right, and I kept on going right every chance I could. I remember I was going really fast, and I saw some loose gravel, and I wanted to hit it to see if I could stay in control with the car.

I hit it, went spinning over a large lake, and right before I hit the bank I awoke.

HELP!

--Erica, Age 15, Single, Lafayette, TN, USA

Hi Erica -

There are two things I know about you from this dream. First, you are a major league risk-taker! Second, I bet you also are a pretty smooth talker, seeing how you got your friend’s Mom to give you the car keys. Even in Tennesee, I know they don’t let you drive until you’re sixteen!

Once you hit the road, though, “Look out!” You drive really fast, taking every right hand turn you can, and then comes the perfect challenge. A pile of gravel, to test your driving skills!

You don’t make it too far past the gravel pit, though. And yes, I do think there’s some symbolic meaning here.

Whenever we dream of losing conrol of a car, it usually means we’re not completely in control of our real lives.

What’s the message? When you do get that license, remember to take your foot off the gas every once in a while, and enjoy the ride!
