Supernatural Dreams

I had an out of body experience about 4 years ago. It was the most interesting and exciting experience that I have ever had.

To give you a brief summary of what happened in my life prior to this: I hadn’t seen my real father since I was 4. At the age of 29 I found him, only to learn he had died 4 years earlier in an automobile accident. This left me devastated!

I did meet some of his family, and got a picture of him. A couple of months later I experienced the obe. In it, I met my father and could remember his smell. He told me to go meet my grandmother, and I didn’t, and 2 weeks later she died. He also told me a secret that I found out from his sister was true.

Since than I havn’t had any other experiences, but feel him with me at all times. I know this wasn’t a dream. It left me drained and I felt as though I had traveled for days.

Can these things happen?

-- l.a.

Dear l.a. -

Your experience sounds like a valid communication between yourself and your father, especially since he told you to visit your grandmother, which you did not do, who then died only a few weeks later.

I am a definite believer in these types of events, although I often find people believing what they want to believe, or confusing out-of-body experiences with lucid dreams.

The soul connection between a father and child is of course very strong. I am sure your father felt your anguish and search on Earth as you discovered his death, and felt it was appropriate to visit you to make contact. His visit appears to have imparted a lesson: The spirit world is real, and knowledge of this while we live in the flesh - is a touch of enlightenment.
