The Dangers and Risks of Sleep Apnea Pregnancy Syndrome (SAPS):

How women can help educate each other

  • Print out the Medical Literature Review compiled by the Dream Doctor and bring it with you to your next Gymboree session, Mommy's meeting, Expecting Mother's class, etc. Spread the word so that birth defects and complications due to SAPS are eliminated! Remember, SAPS is a 100% treatable condition. No unborn child needs to suffer, and no mother deserves anything less than a healthy baby!

  • Learn the symptoms of sleep apnea. According to the American Seep Disorder Association, 75-90% of all sleep disorders and never diagnosed. This is often because OSA sufferers are unaware of whether or not their symptoms are a sign of a serious breathing disorder. As such, family members, especially spouses, most frequently witness the periods of apnea. Symptoms include: loud snoring, periods of not breathing (apnea), awakening not rested in the morning, abnormal daytime sleepiness, including falling asleep at inappropriate times, morning headaches, weight gain, limited attention, memory loss, poor judgment, personality changes, lethargy.

  • Join our online community (it's free) and begin using our message boards to connect with women and concerned families across the world. The message boards will notify you when questions you post or are curious about are answered. Join up here!

  • Send this web address - www.dreamdoctor.com - to all the moms, aunts, uncles, sisters, brothers and friends you know. Spread the good news. No more babies and moms need to suffer from SAPS!
