The Dangers and Risks of Sleep Apnea Pregnancy Syndrome (SAPS):

Let us hear from you.

If you or someone you know had a child with birth defects and you suspect SAPS may have played a role, we want to hear from you. Please write to us at SAPS@dreamdoctor.com.

Please be sure to include the defects the child was born with, and also include details about the pregnancy and delivery.

  • Was pre-eclampsia present?

  • Was the child delivered early or with low birth weight?

  • Did placenta abruptia occur?

  • What was the mother's age, height and weight at the time of delivery?

  • Does the mother have a history of snoring or witnessed pauses in breathing during sleep?

  • Is there a family history of sleep disordered breathing (snoring and sleep apnea)?

  • Is there a family history of disease or birth defects among other family members?

Thank you for sharing your story and information.
