I go into premature labor (34 weeks) and the nurse asks me to put on a hospital gown after I have delivered so she can transport us to intensive care. My son lies on a metal table, and by the time I am done putting on the gown, his body is cold, damp and lifeless. His eyes are shriveled up and rolled back in his head. I beg the nurse to tell me that he is all right, but he is so stiff and damp. —Anonymous
