warning!

I have had this dream for about 2 years now. It repeats every 4 to 6 months.

Basically I am at my parents home, I walk to the kitchen and before I turn the light on I see knives hanging in the air. It seems they are about to stab at me and I feel extremely scared. Somehow the light goes on and they fall to the floor. Typically I wake then, but can’t go back to sleep, as I feel very scared. Almost as if in fear for my life. I can’t think of any reason why the dreams are occuring. I had just finished a relationship with someone, which I was feeling very positive about, as the person was a rather violent individual - which is the reason I ended the relationship.
