Hi, I'm 19 and have been having these paralysing dreams for a couple of years now. I thought it only happened to me, it seems too weird to be real. Mine usually happen when I'm just dozing off, taking a nap. It happens when I know I need to be somewhere soon and I realized that I just dozed off, so I start waking up telling myself I need to get up.Then something holds every movement back, so I try to tell myself to move my fingers or my arm. That doesn't happen, so I try yelling myself out of it. I feel that my body is awake enough and I start freaking out because it feels like I'm trying so hard to move that breathing is a problem. Then I finally snap out of it, out of no where. I noticed that it happens more when I doze off on my back, reading a book, or watching t.v. because I sleep on my sides all the time, so if I want to go back to sleep, I roll over on my side and that usually stops it from happening.

I think this is a GOOD site but it isn't as good as people say it is, it's realy good for answering dreams but i think you should ad more to it and brighten up you'r back ground or something you'r site is really boaring sorry but it's true!!! This is really weird, I have always been interested in finding out what my very weird dreams mean, me and my daughter have talked about this often, so last week she has this very weird dream and for the heck of it I just typed in interpreting dreams and this was one of the sites that popped up. Boy am I glad I picked The Dream Doctor site, it sure did make so much sense of my daughters dream, and everytime I have a dream I go to this site to see what it means. Great job Dream Doctor....:-)
